Socrates (470-399 B.C.) was a famous Greek philosopher from Athens, who taught Plato, and Plato taught Aristotle, and Aristotle taught Alexander the Great. Socrates used a simple but cleverly profound method of teaching by asking penetrating, revelatory, and psychologically probing questions. The Greeks called this form Dialectic – starting from a thesis or question, then discussing ideas and moving back and forth between points of view to determine how well ideas stand up to critical review, with the ultimate principle of the dialogue being Veritas – Truth.

It did not work. *N.B.: Note the wounded expression on her face—that is the look of unrequited love and a woman scorned because she (secretly) really wanted to be the ‘next [Mrs.] Ball’), yet LaVar wisely and repeatedly replied to Leahy on national TV, “I’m scared of you!” – “Leave me alone!”
Are you threatening me?

With all due respect [Kristine], you’re a great reporter — just not reporting on me.

Socrates: We are gathered here together this day at this Symposium to visit certain  critical questions regarding the LaVar Ball vs. Kristine Leahy controversy which is derivative of an aphorism by my student, Plato, attributed to me—“Good people [LaVar Ball] do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people [Kristine Leahy] will find a way around the laws.”

To wit, all the major sports shoe oligarchs—chiefly Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, but also Reebok, Converse, Puma and Jordan) feels threatened by little LaVar Ball, because he’s the David vs. Goliath so to speak. By owning his own brand (Big Baller Brand) and insisting that the Big Three Shoe Companies—this 3-headed Cerberus ‘hound of hell’, partner with his brand to market the shoes of his three sons— Lonzo, LiAngelo, LaMelo, when they become NBA basketball stars (cost = $1 Billion), was to these corrupt sports shoe corporate Goliaths simply beyond the pale.

These Robber Barons were outraged at the business acumen, uppitiness [sic], and purity of LaVar Ball the Man. Thus, the 3-headed Cerberus with Nike as the lead, callously rebuffed LaVar’s joint marketing proposal and unleashed their media, chiefly Fox Sports One, to attempt to shut him down before he can inspire other NBA players to think for themselves, to be independent, to market their own brand, and cut out the Cerberus middleman who only steals shoe royalties and profits from the uninformed, from the economic Slave.

Virgil & Cerberus, the ‘hound of Hell’ – from Gustave Doré’s illustration of Dante’s Inferno.

What do evil men in high places do? —They plot and plan evil against the good all the time. So, they throw the blond damsel in distress into the arena against LaVar—the Accusing, Vengeful White Woman—which has always been a successful archetype and deadly tactic in American history to punish and kill the uppity Negros whenever they (like LaVar) got out of line or ventured off the Master’s Plantation without permission.

What has happened is just the opposite. Twitter has turned into a tsunami of support for LaVar Ball and his son’s shoe company, even adding millions of supporters who misunderstood, even hated LaVar Ball before, but after the Leahy controversy now love LaVar Ball and sons due to the vile and deceitful way Leahy slandered LaVar Ball and tried in vain to destroy the Big Baller Brand. And thus, there is now a national outcry for Fox Sports One to dismiss Kristine Leahy.

Thesis Question Is it rational for a feminist like Kristine Leahy to publicly slander and disrespect LaVar Ball, marginalize his three sons, and demonize his Big Baller Brand, and not expect a vigorous defense by a strong Black man against a White woman hellbent on ‘weaponizing her whiteness’ against him?

In the meantime, LaVar Ball and the world witnessed the apotheosis of Son #1, Lonzo Ball on June 23, 2017 at a press conference hosted by legendary NBA point guard, Erving ‘Magic’ Johnson who joyfully welcomed Lonzo Ball as “the Leader of the Los Angeles Lakers.” Remember that the Bible has the repeated refrain regarding those like Father LaVar Ball, who suffered many years for righteousness sake— “And it came to pass.” 20 years ago when Lonzo was a newborn baby, the father LaVar spoke a Word from the Lord into the atmosphere, into the soul of his son Lonzo – that one day he would be exactly in his proper place on the world stage he was on this day.

And it came to pass. Haters like Kristine Leahy, Kevin Whitlock, many professional sports talk idiots, some YouTube bloggers, and even millions of haters in Black America can only hate against this valiant man in the Arena—LaVar Ball, a Man possessed, obsessed with his NBA vision for his 3 sons he truly loves, yet I hear that quiet and strong refrain all Men of Faith have heard through the Ages that cuts through the cacophony of Haters like the clarion trumpet sound of the Archangel Gabriel … And it came to pass.

Charlemagne da god: {May 18, 2017} Donkey of the day for Thursday May 18th goes to Kristine Leahy of Fox Sports One. Now yesterday The Revolutionary known as LaVar Ball was on The Herd with Colin Cowherd and on this show is a young lady named Kristine Leahy. Now if you look at all the headlines from this appearance you see things like LaVar Ball under fire for remarks against a female Fox Sports One reporter or ‘Kristine Leahy responds to LaVar Ball’s threatening comments on Fox Sports One.’ And what bothers me about this is that a lot of people feel like LaVar Ball came in and was so-called ‘disrespectful’ to Kristine Leahy for no reason, but no!

See, a lot of times people see the clapback, but don’t see the initial clap that caused the clapback, and this is the case of LaVar Ball vs. Kristine Leahy. Now before we get into the exchange on Fox One Sports yesterday, let’s put it into context. Kristine Leahy had been critical of LaVar Ball in the past, specifically questioning his parenting skills and even said that LaVar Ball’s kids are afraid of him…

Kristine Leahy: All three sons (you have kids?) How rare is it that all three kids want to do the exact same thing? They’re being forced to do it – they’re being told— ‘You will start basketball at age six,’ like Lonzo told us. And whenever you ask him a question I think he said what five words? And he looks terrified whenever he’s talking. I asked, have you ever had a disagreement with your father? and he said no. And everyone at this table we know you at one point or another disagree with your parent[s] unless you’re afraid to disagree with your parent[s]. He looks genuinely afraid.

Socrates: *N.B.: I must interject here to highlight the Freudian slip Leahy has made in her accusations against LaVar Ball by repeatedly using the word, ‘parent’ vs. ‘parents’ to describe his family. LaVar Ball is a happily married man to wife, Tina Ball and both parents form the foundation of a strong, multi-racial family that has existed for over 20 years and produced 3 boys totally devoted to their parents and to their Big Baller Brand vision and NBA destiny.

Kristine Leahy: But it’s also telling if Lonzo said he wants to stay close to home. Great, if you want to play for the Lakers, but that it’s close to home. He doesn’t want to leave his father, he doesn’t want to leave that nest and that’s not going to go over well when you’re surrounded by grown men playing in the NBA.

LaVar Ball and sons (left to right, LiAngelo, LaVar, Lonzo & LaMelo)

Charlemagne da god: First, don’t tell me how to parent my kids. That’s number one. Does Kristine Leahy have kids? I don’t know if she does or not, but I wonder how she would feel if someone had negative things to say about the way she parents? And I hate how she [conflates] respect with fear. LaVar Ball’s sons clearly respect their father as they should and that’s why they listen him. And why wouldn’t you listen to the man that raised you? Clearly listening to him got them to way they are now, so why would I stop doing what’s working?

Y’all keep asking this young man, Lonzo to rebel against his father and I don’t understand why? On one hand your saying, it’s not enough fathers in their kid’s lives, but when the father is in the kid’s lives as much as LaVar is, then you say he’s doing too much. I don’t get it. Well yesterday LaVar ball was on the Colin Cowherd Show and Kristine Leahy was there and they got into a little exchange because LaVar gave her the same energy that Kristine has been giving him—

Socrates: To establish the proper context upon which this controversial narrative between these two parties are manifest, I will have my Narrator (Plato) present the requisite Ball/Leahy backstory for this Symposium.

Narrator (Plato): {The Herd Show w/ Colin Cowherd and co-host Kristine Leahy, May 17, 2017} Host Colin Cowherd asked Ball, whose $495 shoes have made headlines, whether he had sold any yet. Ball responded vaguely: “Yeah, I’ve sold a good amount, to me. Like I said, there’s different amounts.”

Leahy asked, “How many?” {in a high-pitched, whinny voice from the back of the studio} Ball seemed to recoil at the question, saying, “Stay in your lane.” When Leahy said she was just curious, Ball said: “I don’t even worry about her over there. She scares me to death. … She scares me. That’s why I don’t look that way.” He told her to “leave me alone.”

Leahy said the comment was “kind of disrespectful” and asked why he was scarred of her. Ball pointed to Cowherd and said, “I’ll tell you — 400, 500 pairs.” Cowherd interjected: “She’s a reporter. Her job is to probe.” “She can report to whoever she wants behind her,” Ball said. “I’m talking to you, Colin.”

When Leahy asked what Ball’s problem with her was, Ball called her “a hater,” then, seemingly imitating Leahy, said in a high-pitched voice: “‘I would never wear a Big Baller shirt.’ Well, good. Don’t even talk to me.” He added: “With all due respect, you’re a great reporter — just not reporting on me.”

Leahy said her criticism of Ball’s Big Baller Brand was that it wouldn’t appeal to women, and that if he wanted to license his company to Nike, Under Armour, or Adidas — all of which reportedly passed on the opportunity — it would need to. Cowherd said he didn’t necessarily agree with Leahy but that it was “a good point.” Ball didn’t agree, saying “I’m not friends with her” before asking to change the subject.

“I think to have a successful company, you’re gonna have to have women who like your brand,” Leahy said. “Uh, yeah, if you have a women’s company,” Ball said before again changing the subject… LaVar countered that “something’s gonna happen to you” and Leahy, hearing a feminist dog whistle immediately fell for LaVar’s trap— “Are you threatening me now?” She accused.

Charlemagne da god: Let’s unpack that exchange. I hate how she acted like she didn’t know why LaVar was mad at her. You know what you said about that man; don’t be clueless now because he just pulled up. Now not only does Kristine Leahy play a gender card, she played the race card and didn’t even know it. If you were paying attention you kept hearing LaVar ball say, ‘Kristine, I don’t want to talk to you because you scare me.’

The reason he kept saying that is because he understands [the tactics savagely used against Emmett Till]— ‘Big scary Black man going at little White woman in America never ends well.’ Top … scariest things a Black man can hear from a White woman is—Are you threatening me? — especially when you’re not even threatening her. Kristine Leahy was purposely twisting LaVar Ball’s words to demonize him. LaVar Ball totally saw that coming that’s why he kept repeating— ‘I’m scared of you!’ – That was a classic age-old example of a White woman demonizing a Black man. That is the kind of demonizing that led to Emmett Till getting killed—

Narrator: {from Wikipedia} *N.B.: “Emmett Louis Till (July 25, 1941 – August 28, 1955) was a 14-year-old African-American who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955 after allegedly offending a white woman (then 21-year-old Carol Bryant) in a grocery store. (53 years later in 2008, Bryant disclosed to author Timothy B. Tyson for his 2017 book, The Blood of Emmett Till, that in 1955, she fabricated testimony that Till had made verbal or physical advances towards her). The brutality of his murder and the fact that his killers were acquitted drew attention to the long history of violent persecution of African Americans in the United States. Till posthumously became an icon of the Civil Rights Movement.”

Mamie Till Bradly not only opened her son’s casket but allowed Jet magazine and the Chicago Defender to publish graphic images of Till’s disfigured body.

Charlemagne da god: Have you ever seen the movie, Rosewood? Remember when the White girl got beat by her boyfriend?… She was cheating on her husband…? And she was so flooded with rage and guilt that she told everyone that a Nig—- [did this to me] and they all go looking for this escaped convict who didn’t even exist. And the kind of demonizing that Black men have been dealing with for years. It was like just shown in that movie. The guy may or may not have existed–the convict they were looking for, but all the White dudes in [a neighboring town next to] Rosewood formed the lynch mob. And they never really found the suspect but they started to see him in the face of every innocent Black man. That is the kind of demonizing that Black men have been dealing with for years, and Kristine Leahy played that same card yesterday and that was weak, cheap, and dangerous.

LaVar Ball handled that situation perfectly. I don’t know who told y’all that disrespect won’t be met with disrespect. You can’t control how people react to you, so if you reserve the right to freedom of speech, then you always got to remember the other person can reserve the right to tell you what you’re speaking freely about is stupid, or even better, reserve the right not to speak to you at all based off you speaking freely about them. Give Kristine Leahy the biggest hee-haw please. {donkey sound effects}

Socrates: Let us hear the conclusion of this matter at this Symposium. Primary Thesis —Is it rational for a feminist like Kristine Leahy to publicly slander and disrespect LaVar Ball, marginalize his three sons, and demonize his Big Baller Brand, and not expect a vigorous defense by a strong Black man against a White woman ‘weaponizing her whiteness’ against him? Charlemagne da god accused Kristine Leahy of using rhetorical sophism against LaVar in her argumentation, or as you would say in contemporary language— ‘hitting below the belt’—regarding her rather hateful, personal and emotive statements against Big Baller Brand founder, LaVar Ball and his 3 basketball prodigy sons. I believe Charlemagne da god accused Leahy of “playing her white race card during her altercation with LaVar Ball by weaponizing her whiteness to demonize the Black man (and his family, reputation and his personal economy).

It is exceedingly most prudent and wise to remember that, “the secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” LaVar Ball has learned from his past pains and failures and has emerged from the Crucible of Affliction called LIFE as a New Man with a New Mind—Gone are the cares of this world and concerns about what this man says, or what that woman thinks about his vision of the Big Baller Brand. Nor does LaVar listen to the feminist Harpies and their nettling criticisms regarding the Spartan manner he raised his three sons because—Success is the best REVENGE.

It is axiomatic to all but the most obtuse or fatherless that LaVar is a strong Black man possessing an unshakeable paradigm of Destiny for himself, his family and the Big Baller Brand through the unique talents of his three sons—Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo. LaVar Ball has already conquered the world… the world just doesn’t know it yet, but it soon will become conscious of LaVar Ball, a marketing genius reminiscent of President Donald J. Trump who against all odds, against tens of millions of haters, against Obama, Hillary and the Democrat Socialist Party, against vile maledictions from the Pope, from Hollywood, from RINO Republicans, and the MSM…. And it came to pass that Donald J. Trump became the 45th president of the United States on Nov. 9th, 2016.

Kristine Leahy, on the other hand like many White feminist-bots and Black American victims of Socialism Slavery, had no father (or had a Bad Father as a model), is irrational in her vile, vengeful, hateful jealously of LaVar Ball – without a cause. At least this Black man has beat the odds in Black America where 72% of all Black children (more in many big cities or with bi-racial births) are born out of wedlock in fatherless, hellish homes in the ghetto, raised by an uneducated mother, with little prospects to ascend the Steps of Mount Parnassus to Enlightenment. Nor can she be a father and mother to raise her sons, thus theses Blacks likely will die not as men, but as undeveloped, unenlightened boys aborted in the flower of their youth, miseducated, lynched by a racist society that pities them by aborting them in higher percentages than any other racial group in the world… even compassing the legendary grotesqueries of Lenin and Stalin Mao and Hitler.

Kristine Leahy is a feminist fraud who was dispatched by the 3-headed Cerberus—Nike, Reebok, Adidas and her Masters at Fox Sports One to abort LaVar Ball in the cradle; to abort the economic liberty of his three boys – to ultimately destroy his family. But LaVar did not fall for the numerous, surreptitious guiles of this blond Delilah and ingeniously rebuffed her at every rebuttal. In revenge for her broken heart that ironically, (I theorize) actually ‘loved’ LaVar (and secretly wanted him to love her in return), Leahy tried in vain to accuse LaVar of “threatening me”, but he understood the sophistic tactics of argumentation, even though Leahy obviously didn’t fall into all of LaVar’s rhetorical traps at every juncture.

This “debate” between LaVar and Leahy was one sided, yet of gargantuan societal implications. It was like a Titan battling a tiny flee and reminds me of the paradoxical, demonic qualities of human nature— “From the deepest desire often come the deadliest hate.”

TRIUMPH OVER THE HATERS – The corollary of Socrates’ aphorism— “From the deepest desire often come the deadliest hate” is this saying—Success is the best revenge! — Lonzo Ball, #2 pick of the 2017 NBA Draft at the Los Angeles Lakers Press Conference (June 23, 2017) with his idol Erving ‘Magic’ Johnson (left). Father LaVar Ball essentially said—“I spoke this moment into existence 20 years ago when Lonzo was a newborn baby” and boldly further declared on Lonzo’s signing day that —“Lonzo will take the Lakers to the playoffs his first year… Come see me when he does, I’ll have another hat on saying, ‘I TOLD YOU SO!’”
