In Memoriam—Open Letter to Rep. Louie Gohmert: Historian of Congress (2005-23)

Give people their flowers while they are alive.
~ Cynthia Peter (a paraphrase)
No one is more hated than he who speaks the Truth.
False words are not only evil in themselves, but they infect the soul with evil.
~ Plato
Prologue to a Profound Statesman
Originally, this letter was composed as a private letter of gratitude sent to a politician I met at a Conservative Symposium we both spoke at 15 years ago, but as I read the letter and reminisced about those provocative times and heady events I began to realize the profound and epiphany experiences they had on my life whose impact positively affect me to this day. Therefore, I thought about how I could convey those feelings of profound elation and magisterial contemplation to other Americans… especially to the young people to whom most of my writings over the past 40 years has been inspired by and dedicated to.
When I researched the origins of the head quote used above Google.com cited the following information:
“Cynthia Peter wrote a medium article titled, “Give me my Flowers While I Can Still smell them”. The phrase ‘give people their flowers while they are alive’ is also used on Instagram and Twitter. The phrase is a metaphor for honoring people while they are still alive, not a reference to physical flowers.”
This metaphor is in part a synopsis of why I wrote the letter to Rep. Louie Gohmert. Thus, I wanted the people to understand the importance of giving people credit while credit is due rather than waiting to after some influential person in your life dies where one is left with a profound sense of loss and guilt afterwards expressing these emotive feelings—Why didn’t I let this person know how much they meant to me? Now it is too late.
Carpe diem (Seize the Day)
Also, my reasons for writing this letter to Congressman Louie Gohmert is to demonstrate to people, especially for the young people to understand how important it is to one’s own personal growth and intellectual development to take every opportunity God gives us in life to appreciate the moment – to learn from it, to build upon it and grow to higher spiritual heights and deeper cognitive depths otherwise the life that you are living is but in vain.

Live Life fully, purposely, extrinsically, gratefully with the renewed outlook of a child who naively sees each day as a new adventure. From observing children and their pure characters I’ve learned through the years it is the stranger that your character has turned into a Friend is what gives real meaning to Life. This is in part what I believe the great Psychiatrist Carl Jung meant by his aphorism below—
Open Letter to Rep. Louie Gohmert: Historian of Congress (2005-23)
To The Honourable Representative Louie Gohmert:
My name is Ellis Washington. I am a retired Professor of Constitutional Law, History, Politics & Philosophy. I first met you 15 years ago at an event we both spoke at hosted by Attorney Ann Fishman (Founder of Fishman.Law and The Liberty Legal Project International) in the then newly built Congressional Auditorium (Oct. 28-29, 2009).

Another speaker at that Symposium was Professor William Wagner (Founder of Salt & Light Global [where I served on its founding Board of Directors from 2014-23] and The Great Lakes Justice Center). Because we met at this 2009 Symposium, Professor Wagner and I remain good friends and colleagues over the past 15 years and have given many lectures together on Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, and the Rule of Law.
*N.B.: Stage32.com Profile: Attorney Ann Fishman
As we departed the event Congressman Gohmert treated our group with a wonderful dinner at a nearby Congressional restaurant and regaled us with a legendary tour of Capitol Hill (for 3 ½ hours!) which to this day I remember with great fondness and admiration of how much information about American history, politics, architecture, religion, law, and the history of Congress you had committed to memory and elucidated with such revelatory rigor, insight and epiphany. I wrote about this AMAZING experience in a subsequent essay – The Slaves of Justice Roger B. Taney (WND.com 02/24/2012), subsequently published in my book – The Progressive Revolution, Vol. IV (2016), pp. 10-12.
On Dec. 3, 2023, I published a collection of Open Letters to the American Academy titled – Reply to President David Meyer on the Apotheosis of President Donald J. Trump, which includes references to a larger iconoclastic law review article on related subject materials titled – The Deconstruction of American Law and the Apotheosis of President Donald J. Trump (Oct. 13, 2023). Both of these works include references to you, Rep. Louie Gohmert, and to the magnificent contributions to what Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes referred to as “the Marketplace of Ideas” which you have positively made during your stellar legislative and judicial career. *N.B.: For further information, see my law review article – 1918-2018—100 YEARS OF UNNATURAL LAW OF JUSTICE OLIVER WENDELL HOLMES (May 2018).
We ended our evening together when (at the urging of Atty. Ann Fishman) I gave you a couple of books I had written. I can’t remember which books they were but I think one was titled – The Inseparability of Law and Morality (2002). And perhaps the other book I signed for you was titled – The Nuremberg Trials (2008). The latter work is cited in detail in the Reply Open Letter Essay Section E (cited above) addressed to President Michael Schill of Northwestern University.
Rep. Gohmert, 15 years ago it was my distinct Honor to meet you and even though I copied you on all the Open Letters and my in law review article in 2023 you most likely never received them for I was saddened to learn later after these works were published that you had retired from Congress in January 2023. Therefore, if I may be so presumptuous, the next time you are in D.C.
I would love for you to meet my son (Stone Washington) to whom I’ve mentioned the positive effect of our one-time acquaintance over the years. (The same goes for you, Atty. Ann Fishman and Roger Stone, my son’s namesake). Stone lives in D.C. and is a Ph.D. student in Public Policy and Public Administration at George Washington University and a Research Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute [CEI]. I am copying him on this email and to Atty. Ann Fishman who first brought us together in Oct. 2009, but unfortunately of whom I have not seen or spoken to since that time. I hope to connect with Ann Fishman again very soon. I still can’t believe it’s been 15 YEARS since that wonderful epiphany event!
God Bless you Rep. Louie Gohmert and Keep up the Good Fight to Save America from the Deep State Democrats and the Satanic New World Order Globalists.
Peace & Respect,
Ellis Washington, J.D.

Epilogue—Exceeding Gratitude to White Republican Men for Creating the Republican Party in 1854 with the Singular Mandate of Ending the Institution of Black Slavery in America
I would like to end this Letter to Rep. Gohmert by commenting on the strong and historically valid words by this great Stateman in the head meme restated below —
Because all of America’s institutions are presently controlled by the Deep State Democrat Socialist Party including – the Propaganda Media (90% of the media including TV, radio, social media is controlled by the Democrat Socialist Party), the White House, Global Politics (United Nations, European Union, IMF, NATO, WEF), Military Power (Obama is the power behind Resident Biden and Kamala Harris = “Obamala”), Secret Societies (Rothschild Khazarian Mafia, Illuminati, Freemasons, Rosicrucians, Skull and Bones, Council of 13, Committee of 300), Globalist Powers (Council on Foreign Relations, George Soros Open Society, Davos). Thus, I thought it would be prudent and applicable to quote from an essay I written a few months ago exposing the Democrat Party and Globalist New World Order roots of the Modern Feminist Movement in an extended essay titled –

{Beginning of Essay Excerpt}
Symposium—The When and the Why of Black Women’s Irresistible Impulse to Disrespect and Hate the Black Man?Here is the section where I give some of the real history regarding the Democrat Party vs. the Republican Party which of course this information is specifically forbidden to be taught in the Propaganda Public School System or the so-called Private and Charter Schools for that matter—
The Eternal Paradox of the House Slave vs. the Field Slave
White Feminists: What people fail to understand was how these White Feminist Women were able to finance these Women’s Conferences? It is because they were all married to wealthy White Men. This is a point of History expressing “UNITY” is something that Black Women then and now don’t seem to appreciate—The Feminist movement was essentially bankrolled by White Men, who in most cases were the husbands of the leadership of the Feminist movement.
*N.B.: The Slavery System in America was also financed and bankrolled by White Men of Secret Societies, particularly the Illuminati, Freemasons, Rothschilds and Rockefellers, unscrupulous millionaire financiers and industrialists called, “Robber Barons” would soon after the end of slavery (in 1865), in 1871 invented a new type of Economic Slavery called Chattel Slavery and Debt Slavery which exists in all nations of the world to this day.
But here is the Judas Treachery of Black Women who failed to understand the complex duplicity of the Women’s Rights movement. White Women told Black Women who wanted to join the Feminist movement (while ignoring the Abolitionist movement of Frederick Douglass) to get away from your Black men, don’t listen to your Black Men, forsake your Black family and join US to get your “Equal Rights”… in the FUTURE! While we go home every night to our White Husbands and make dinner for our White Families which remain intact, while you, Black Women, neglect and undermine your own Black Family. . . for What?!?

Socrates: *N.B.: Scene from the 1939 movie classic, Gone with the Wind, depicting the Civil War and its aftermath. Here, Mammy (played by Hattie McDaniel, who went on to become the first African American to win an Academy Award), is aggressively clearing a path for her “Mistress”, Scarlett O’Hara to walk through the crowded streets in Atlanta: “Out of our way, trash! Get out of the way here. Get away! Go on!”

Also, this scene above exposes the utter contempt, hatred and disrespect displayed by the Black women servant-class had towards their own Black brothers, some of whom (as in the movie scene above) were Black soldiers presently fighting in the Civil War—heroic and courageous Black men risking their lives fighting for Mammy’s (and all Black Women’s) right to be free in America! Yet, Mammy only saw these Black men as “Trash”?!? *N.B.: See, House Slave vs. Field Slave Paradox and Malcolm X describes the difference between the “House Negro” and the “Field Negro”, Michigan State University speech, 23 Jan. 1963.
Publius: Does this ‘Paradox’ between the Black Man and Black Women go all the way back to the Slavery Era? The Cognitive Dissonance of Black American Women in 2024 seems more acute and worse than it was 200 years ago during Slavery.
Socrates: The Paradox of House Slaves (majority Black Women) vs. Field Slaves (majority Black Men) = War of the Sexes, Division, Disunity, Chaos Theory — As it was in 1824, so the Judas-level Treachery and War against the Black Man continues in 2024, but the Bible declares, “The Truth will make you Free.” ~ John 8:32
Socrates: Tell this Symposium, Mr. Douglass, what caused the break between you and the Feminist movement after working together for over 20 years (1848-69)—From the Seneca Falls Convention (1848) to the end of the Civil War (1861-65) and the beginnings of the Radical Reconstruction Era (1865-77)?
Frederick Douglass: In 1866, I, Frederick Douglass along with Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony founded the American Equal Rights Association which demanded universal suffrage (voting rights for women). The group disbanded 3 years later in 1869 due to growing tensions among its members. What happened one year later? In 1870 Black men gained the right to vote.
Another more sinister reason why American Equal Rights Association disbanded was that Susan B. Anthony insisted that White Women get the vote before Black men. Frederick Douglass said, NO! —”You are either behind us, helping us. We’re not going to be behind you because you are trying to fight for the right to have a voice in your own home, your own household. I’m trying to fight for the right to be HUMANS, for Human Rights.”
Socrates: What were the White Feminists leaders working towards doing the critical historical period in Civil Rights history (from 1848-1870) during in the preceding years before Black Men secured and won the passage of the Thirteenth, Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments granting them the end of Slavery, Due Process Rights and the Right to Vote in 1870?
Black Feminists: Hateful and Fearful, Envious and Jealous of the Black Man’s success in helping to win the Civil War, securing the end of Slavery and getting Due Process Rights, in 1868, the White Women of the Feminist movement were secretly working very hard to convince Black Women to join their White Feminist movement to get the vote by exploiting Black Women’s overt and covert treachery of placing the White Women’s cause (Voting Rights) over their own Black men and against their own Black families (Human Rights).
White Women tricked us Black Women into helping THEM secure the right to vote (which they didn’t get until 50 YEARS later in 1920 and Black Americans didn’t get “real” Civil Rights until 50 years after that in the early 1970s!) Yet it could be argued in 1970 that Black Women really had ‘de facto Voting rights’ for 100 years based on the work of their own Black Men whom the Black Women had repeated betrayed down through the Ages.
A final irony of history was that these same White Feminists possessing the Spirit of Jezebel promised to help Black Women get the vote and equal rights if they joined their Women’s Rights movement in 1848. It was a Faustian bargain with Jezebel that Black Women and the Black Family have been paying for 200 YEARS! {End of excerpt}
Rep. Gohmert, all of this “Forbidden History” cited above in my Socratic dialogue was fomented by the White Racist Democrat Party against the Black Man in collusion (in many tragic instances) by their faithful Ally of the Democrat Socialist Party. . . ? The BLACK WOMAN. . . TO THIS DAY!! This is why Rep. Louie Gohmert demanded that the Democrat Party change its name so as to no longer be associated with this historic litany of Evils, Privations, Terrorist Acts against Black America, including – Slavery, Abortion of Black Babies more than any other race, Formation of the KKK, etc. But the dirty little secret is that the Democrat Party will never change its name. Why? Because the Democrat Socialist Party is very PROUD of its evil History. . . Every part of it TO THIS DAY!

*N.B.: The Republican Party was founded in 1854 with the specific mandate to End the Evil Institution of Slavery… Period! The First President of the Republican Party?–Abraham Lincoln (Term: 1861-65), the man who literally gave his life to end Slavery and to save the Republic was viciously assassinated at a play at The Ford’s Theatre just after he won his second term by a Democrat Party Conspiracy including John Wilkes Booth, a member of an associated Klu Klux Klan racist group called – The Knights of the Golden Circle, a secret society whose initial objective was to acquire territories as slave states.
The Democrat Socialist Party was founded in 1828 and historically has been the de facto party of – Slavery, Jim Crow Racism, founder of the Klu Klux Klan, Women’s Rights (Feminist movement), Abortion, Affirmative Action Slavery, Welfare Slavery, Illegal Immigration (that kills Black jobs, Black economic growth and deconstructs Black cities and the Black Family). Source: Ellis Washington, On Epiphany—Essay Letter to the President of Savannah State University (aka Negroes…! Get off the Damn Plantation!!).
In conclusion, Rep. Louie Gohmert on behalf of all Patriotic Americans I would like to offer my exceeding gratitude to you for your tireless service in support of the Republican Party, for upholding the sacred Biblical values of Natural Law and Natural Rights in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and for your nearly 20 years in Congress fighting to preserve the United States of America… “a Republic if you can keep it” according to our Founding Father, Benjamin Franklin.
