BHO: Woodrow Wilson reborn

washington130119The president is at liberty, both in law and conscience, to be as big a man as he can. His capacity will set the limit; and if Congress be overborne by him, it will be no fault of the makers of the Constitution – it will be from no lack of constitutional powers on its part, but only because the president has the nation behind him, and the Congress has not.

Never allow a good crisis to go to waste. To the demagogue, the opportunist, the fascist politician, the liberal activist judge – the slaughter of the innocent in Newtown, Conn., was made to order to exploit this tragedy … and this is just the beginning.

President Obama is hellbent on using his 23 executive orders not only to take away America’s guns, but he is deputizing all doctors to snitch on any of their patients who are gun owners. Obama’s progressive plan to eradicate the Second Amendment is systematic – first by registration, second by regulation, third by confiscation, and finally by mass extermination.

Extermination? Read my recent column on the Nazi roots of U.S. gun-control laws. History repeatedly shows us it’s always the same holocaust again and again: Hatred of liberty + Government fascism + Disarmed Civilians = Genocide.

Nevertheless, through the fog of political history, I could see the triumphant corpse of President Woodrow Wilson arise, like a musty, moldy apparition from hell to plague this generation with the curse of progressivism, to herald the death of the Constitution and its arcane separation-of-powers doctrine rooted in natural rights, Natural Law and the original intent of the constitutional framers.

Enough! One hundred years ago, Woodrow Wilson proclaimed his Darwinian evolutionary decree: The president is at liberty, both in law and conscience, to be as big a man as he can. His capacity will set the limit. … Living political constitutions must be Darwinian in structure and in practice. Was Wilson and other founding fathers of the progressive revolution really trying to systematically implement a Darwinian evolutionary atheistic worldview into every conceivable aspect of American law, history, politics, philosophy, culture and society and deconstruct America’s original Judeo-Christian worldview?

While Obama may not know history very well, his brain trust (David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett, Larry Summers, Robert Gibbs, George Soros, et al.) certainly does and has mastered the Saul Alinsky tactics of Fabian socialism – achieving one’s tyrannous political goals slowly, over time, never retreating and always demonizing your political enemies. In other words, as Obama’s mentor and father of community organizing, Saul Alinsky, famously said in his book, “Rule for Radicals,” “Rule 12 – Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Quoting from Woodrow Wilson’s 1908 book, “Constitutional Government in the United States,” conservative intellectual Mark Levin read on his Dec. 19, 2012, radio show:

The old theory of the sovereignty of the States, which used so to engage our passions, has lost its vitality. The war between the States established at least this principle, that the federal government is, through its courts, the final judge of its own powers. … We are impatient of state legislatures because they seem to us less representative of the thoughtful opinion of the country than Congress is.

In response to this passage, Levin said, “Tenth Amendment, gone! There would be no Constitution … but for the emphasis on state sovereignty.”

Wilson further wrote, “Undoubtedly the powers of the federal government have grown, have even grown enormously, since the creation of the government; and they have grown for the most part without amendment of the Constitution. But they have grown in almost every instance by a process which must be regarded as perfectly normal and legitimate. The Constitution cannot be regarded as a mere legal document, to be read as a will or a contract would be. It must, of the necessity of the case, be a vehicle of life.”

Levin attacked the ahistorical, progressive “living constitutionalism” doctrine directly, saying, “Do you think that the founders and framers of the Constitution were not aware that life changes? Do you think that they were not aware that new technologies [were] developed? Do you think that they were not aware that nations faced new problems in the future and that they can’t predict every technology, every problem, every issue that’s going to come up 100, 200 years from now? Of course the framers understood that. They were far more intelligent than Woodrow Wilson. …”
