Thomas Massey didn’t just ask vague questions about the Epstein files he named names, detailed categories and exposed a network of complicity that reaches from Hollywood to Wall Street to foreign roalty. And Kash Patel’s response revealed everything you need to know about why justice has been delayed for so long.
You need to understand what made this moment so explosive because Massey wasn’t working from rumors or conspiracy theories he was reading directly from FBI 302 documents. Official witness interview reports that contain sworn testimony from Jeffrey Epstein’s victims. These aren’t speculation, they’re documented statements from women who were trafficked, abused and then brave enough to tell their stories to federal investigators. The scope of what Massey revealed should shock anyone who still believes in equal justice under law.
According to victim testimony contained in FBI files that Patel controls, Jeffrey Epstein Trafficked women and minors to at least 20 power men, not random individuals, not small-time criminals. When bankers participate in abuse networks they contaminate the financial systems that suppose to protect citizens from predators. But here’s what made Patel’s response so damaging to his credibility and the FBI’s reputation; when confronted with this documented evidence when pressed about whether he had launched investigations into any of these individuals. When asked directly about FBI files that contain victim testimony naming specific perpetrators, Patel retreated behind bureaucratic language and procedural deflections.
His first dodge was claiming that he hadn’t personally reviewed the 3:02 documents. Think about that for a moment: the director of the FBI when asked about the most high profile sex trafficking case in recent American history, claims he hasn’t personally reviewed the core evidence – either he’s lying to avoid accountability, or he’s admitting to shocking negligence in managing one of the most important investigations under his control. When Massey pressed him on whether victims’ statements were credible, Patel’s response was even more revealing. He said it wasn’t his assertion that victims weren’t credible but rather the assertion of two different United States attorneys’ offices from three separate administrations that the evidence didn’t rise to probable cause for prosecution. John Kennedy (R-La.) pressed the director, questioning if Epstein trafficked women to “no one,” to which Patel replied, “for the information that we have.”
