Socrates: We are gathered here today at this Symposium to continue our dialogue from last weekregarding the epic battle of ideas over the past 200 years. What is the difference between the transcendent ideas that uplift society and those corrupt ideas that damn society? We will discuss the remaining five famous writers and their most influential books and how these books have either elevated society to ascend the steps of Parnassus, or condemned society into the pit of Tartarus.

    For those of you who are offended, take heart, the majority of America’s professors would probably fully concur with you and will continue their bashing. I appreciate Aldous Huxley, who would also concur with these professors but is at least straight-forward in his hostility and facts. Brave New World, and particularly Brave New World revisited, should be required reading as it lays out naked and bare the ramifications of this human-centered worldview with which those listed above would find great commonality.
