Eventually the truth came out after her grandfather died and in the late 1960s Millie McGhee then had a vexing dilemma—She wanted to research and write the truth about J. Edgar Hoover Black racial identity, but realized that she was illiterate and had received an inferior public school education while then living in the poorest and most racist state in America. . . This is Professor Ellis Washington. Mrs. McGhee, I spoke with you a few years ago after I discovered your 2000 book on J. Edgar Hoover and did an essay on him in 2024 that was in part was based on your comprehensive and excellent research exposing Hoover’s hidden Black racial genealogy. Today (04/04/2026) I was talking to my son (Stone Washington) at a beautiful new Barnes and Noble bookstore near our home, and observed that he was reading a very thick book on the enigmatic FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover written by Beverly Gage, a Professor of History at Yale University titled—“G-MAN: J. EDGAR HOOVER AND THE MAKING OF THE AMERICAN CENTURY” (2023). Of course, I was curious about how thorough and comprehensive this book was and immediately examined the contents pages at the front and indexes at the back of this book including the endnotes to see if there were entries citing to Millie McGhee’s genealogical work exposing the Black racial identity of J. Edgar Hoover. Regrettably there was no mention of your name in Beverly Gage’s new book on J. Edgar Hoover that cited to your ground-breaking book from 2000—either in Professor Gage’s—Table of Contents, the Footnotes, the Endnotes, nor in the Glossary (Index).

In my opinion this is a very egregious error and unforgiveable omission by Professor Beverly Gage in failing to expose hidden Black racial identity, or even provide an alternative academic forum citing this theory considering the iconoclastic and real truth about this enigmatic, ubiquitous and controversial American icon, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover who served from 1924-1972, during the terms of eight (8) U.S. Presidents, was 100% born a Black person according to the “One Drop Rule”; that according to the D.C. census chronicled that both Hoover’s grandfather and great-grandfather, William Hoover lived in the “colored” Jim Crow neighborhood of Washington, D.C. going back to the 1840s (or perhaps as early as 1832)—That’s 33 years before the end of the Civil War (1861-65) that allegedly was suppose to end Slavery, yet slavery still exists throughout America and throughout the world… TO THIS DAY!

I believe that this existential angst made Hoover so traumatized, paranoid, and incensed by these accusations that when he had achieved sufficient power as FBI Director Hoover personally threatened the entire McGhee family with genocide ‘where they slept’ if that scandalous information about his Black racial identity was ever exposed.

Why would J. Edgar Hoover have to threaten the entire Black side of his family with mass genocide for revealing a “lie” about his alleged Black racial background? This level of hatred and vitriol borders on Psychopathy and doesn’t make sense unless genealogist Millie McGhee’s allegations against Hoover being born Black were factually true.

That these facts are undeniable and are contained and accessible in verified genealogical records and archival sources at the city, state and national levels, even DNA evidence linking J. Edgar Hoover as the second cousin to Millie McGhee’s grandfather. Yet mainstream Hoover biographers like Yale Professor of History Beverly Gage failed even to give alternative iconoclastic research and analysis about Hoover’s Black genealogy any political, historical, or literary credence… In my opinion this is academic fraud writ large! This omission about J. Edgar Hoover Black racial identity by the White Ivy-League Academy is simply beyond the pale and must be exposed and critiqued and remedied with the truth! LBJ, Nixon and J. Edgar Hoover, the CIA, NSA and FBI were Threatened by the “Negro Unity” of the Black Panther Party’s “Community Survival” Social Services Programs that adopted Booker T. Washington’s “Self-Help” Philosophy to Aid the Uplift of Black America (1968-74)

Edgar Hoover was once asked by a journalist at a press conference this seemingly innocuous question — ‘What in his opinion was the single greatest threat to the United States of America?’ Hoover immediately responded, ‘NEGRO UNITY’ (e.g., the National success of the Black Panther Party Social Services or “Survival” Programs helping Black People was an existential threat to LBJ, Nixon, J. Edgar Hoover, FBI, CIA, NSA, and to mainstream Americans). To me as a historian writing on issues of race and racism for over 40 years this means that the most richest, elite, powerful, and influential people in America have always known that “Negro unity” was a dangerous and forbidden social and political construct—A superlative superpower to be HIDDEN, SUPPRESSED, and for Black people to be constantly and wantonly OPPRESSED by all sides and by any means necessary. But WHY? The White Supremacist institutions in America couldn’t allow the Black Panther Party to be successful with their social welfare (or “Survival”) programs because it made the government look bad and exposed the hypocritical Big Lie that the U.S. federal government and all of its ancillary institutions (at the national and local levels) were not unlocking slave chains, but were creating more and more institutions and philosophies of Men designed to enslave Black America more through Big Government (e.g., Socialism, Marxism, Progressivism, Liberalism). That the American government was unwilling and unable to provide proper protection, educational, vocational, psychological and effective social services programs especially for the unprotected, vulnerable and exploited Black minority populations throughout America.

What is The Jim Crow Paradox? – Why did the End of Racial Segregation and the Rise of Liberal Social Welfare Programs in the 1960s Concurrently Caused what 400+ years of Chattel Slavery couldn’t achieve – The Downfall, Deconstruction and Destruction of the Black Family in America?

So, the federal government under President Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society programs kicked the Black man out of the Black family home so that the woman (even young teenaged girls living in the ghetto) could get increased welfare benefits based on staying single because the more children she had (preferably out of wedlock) the more money and welfare benefits she could get. LBJ’s Great Society Programs also expanded the school lunch, democide vaccine programs, built Black Concentration Camps inside every big city in America euphemistically referred to as “Projects”, “the Hood”, or “Ghetto” housing, created WICK programs, food stamp programs, and dozens of other welfare programs by 1975 with the Black Women being the #1 client and recipient of these slave chains of Big Government.

Why? To enslave Black America inside a New Plantation of the twentieth century. Also, in order to stop J. Edgar Hoover’s ‘greatest fear’ of “Negro unity”, which “according to the research of Dr. Thomas Sowell, Senior Fellow at the Conservative Think Tank, Hoover Institution, Black families were generally more stable and had higher marriage rates than White families before the end of segregation and the expansion of the modern welfare state in the 1960s.” Furthermore, Sowell argues that the Black family survived centuries of slavery and generations of Jim Crow, only to disintegrate in the wake of liberal welfare policies.”

Therefore, the FBI-CIA-NSA predictably and tragically unleashed scorched earth operations to destroy the “Survival Programs” of Black Panther Party which were effectively helping and protecting the Black community, and used Machiavellian tactics like encouraging teenage Black girls to pump out baby after baby after baby without a father living in the home to get more government Slave Chains (I mean welfare benefits), to achieve this government-sponsored democide by any means necessary.

How? By utilizing classical Divide-and-Conquer techniques used throughout history by majority powers using force and exerting their unjust powers upon a defenseless or vulnerable minority populations, by fomenting Racial Politics, by using racial Balkanization and characterizing the Black Panther Party as a present and existential threat against all patriot-loving White Americans. To unjustly mark the Black Panther Party as intrinsically Marxist revolutionaries hellbent on destabilizing America, promoting racial violence, and infiltrating into America political COMMUNIST anarchy while using this anti-Communist pretext and provocation to justify attacking, imprisoning, and even killing their leadership (e.g., Fred Hampton, Mark Clark, Bobby Hutton, and others like BPP Leader Huey P. Searching on Books.Google.com I found this interesting excerpt from a FBI work I had never heard of before which surprisingly had an entry containing McGhee’s biography and book on J. Edgar Hoover, titled – THE FBI ENCYCLOPEDIA by Michael Newton (2020). It has the following notes about the contents and purpose of the FBI Encyclopedia:

I believe Hoover had the “Survival Programs” or “Self-Help” Programs (1968-74) of the Black Panther Party in mind which is why I believe Hoover gave that cryptic answer. I believe that the “press conference” or whatever the event was clearly staged. I believe Hoover handpicked the “journalists” to ask him pre-selected and approved questions to make him look good and to give off an air of control and competence, inevitability and invincibility, qualities the Hoover coveted above all else!
