This #Facebook censorship has got to stop I was just trying to send a message to a lovely lady and author of a landmark book exposing the evil FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover as actually being a Black man passing for White going back to at least 3 generations to his Great-grandfather (perhaps even further) by Educator, Author, and Genealogist, MILLIE McGHEE (b. 1947, McComb, Mississippi).
At aged 10, her grandfather told her that there was a very famous man in their family who was passing for White but was actually a Black man and that he threatened their family with murder if that secret got out. The truth came out after her grandfather died and Millie wrote a book in 2000 chronicling whether or not her grandfather’s claims about FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover being Black were true or myth… They were TRUE. In her interview on the Tony Brown’s Journal the interview stated in part—

Dear Author, Millie L. McGhee:
FBI Director, J. Edgar Hoover was once asked by a journalist in a press conference this seemingly innocuous question — ‘What in his opinion was the single greatest threat to the United States of America?’ He immediately responded, ‘NEGRO UNITY’. To me as a historian writting on issue of race and racism for over 40 years this means that the most powerful and influential people in America have always known that “Negro unity” was a dangerous thing to be HIDDEN, SUPPRESSED and for Black people to be OPPRESSED by any means necessary. But WHY? Because White America realized (even before the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade) that Black people (particularly Black Americans) are spiritually, mentally and physically the strongest people in human history, that they are a national true treasure, and so, over the past 250 years since America’s founding, they have tried to turn America’s treasure into trash through perversions of America’s institutions, culture and society.

Nevertheless in 2026, Black people are beginning to wake up and to actively seek out real iconoclastic historians, scholars, educators, political philosophers, and intellectuals to learn about and to read about their real history. They are slowly realizing that Black Americans are in many ways a “chosen people” and are starting to reject the perversions and dead ends of culture and society and are choosing God, the Bible and belief in Jesus Christ.
This is Professor Ellis Washington. I spoke with you a few years ago after I discovered your 2000 book on J. Edgar Hoover and did an essay on him in 2024 that was in part based on your excellent research. Today (04/04/2026) I was talking to my son (Stone Washington) at a beautiful new Barnes and Noble bookstore near our home, and observed that he was reading a new book on J. Edgar Hoover by Beverly GAGE written in 2023 titled–“G-MAN: J. EDGAR HOOVER AND THE MAKING OF THE AMERICAN CENTURY”. Of course, I was curious and immediately examined the index at the back of this book to see if there was an entry of my friend author, Millie McGhee’s book on Hoovers. Regretibly there was no mention of your name and your groundbreaking book from 2000 was cited.
This omission to exposing the real truth about is an OUTRAGE and a shameful TRAGEDY by the collective academic industry and the collective publishing industry on this most famous (and infamous) person in American history who have seemingly all colluded in opposing publishing the TRUTH regarding the overwhelming fact that former FBI J. Edgar Hoover who served from 1924-1972, during the terms of eight (8) U.S. Presidents was born a Black person whose grandfather and great-grandfather lived in the “colored” neighborhood of Washington, D.C. That these facts are undeniable and are contained and accessible in verified genealogical records and sources at the city, state and national levels.

However Millie McGhee, there is a silver lining. That same evening while at the bookstore with my son, Stone, I did a Google AI search with this question: “Was J. Edgar Hoover a Black man?” and the answer surprised me because it mentioned your name and 2000 book!

Since the release of the 2011 film J. Edgar, Hoover’s genealogy has become a topic of interest. A theory that Hoover had African-American heritage has not been substantiated.[157] There are also family stories and genealogies recorded by writer Millie McGhee in her 2000 book Secrets Uncovered: J. Edgar Hoover — Passing for White?,[158] where she and Hoover are said to have a common ancestor. The claim has not been proven.[157]

Edgar Hoover was Black a “claim has not been proven” has a footnote to #157 which links to footnote 3, a short, derivative, unremarkable article by Martin Gruberg that makes no assertions of Hoover’s racial identity. Therefore, Wikipedia as usual is gaslighting the public and promoting unsubstantiated propaganda to hide the real Hoover racial identity question.
Did you know that nearly 200 years ago in July 1848 at the very first “Women’s Conference” in Seneca, New York that the veritable civil rights and abolitionist Frederick Douglass was secretly being co-opted by a number of White women who would later be called “Feminists” by using Douglass name and sterling reputation to not only push for the Women (White Women only) to get the vote, but when Douglass found out about their evil deeds 20 years later, he separated himself from the Women’s movement to give his full time to get the vote for the Black men which he achieved in less than 2 years with the passage of the 15th Amendment (Feb. 3, 1870) to the United States Constitution prohibits the federal government or any state from denying or abridging a citizen’s right to vote “on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.” It was ratified on February 3, 1870,[1] as the third and last of the Reconstruction Amendments.

Searching on Books.Google.com I found this interesting excerpt from a work FBI Encyclopedia I had never heard of before which surprisingly had an entry containing McGhee’s biography and book on J. Edgar Hoover, titled – THE FBI ENCYCLOPEDIA by Michael Newton (2020).
It has the following notes about the contents and purpose of the FBI Encyclopedia:
The FBI, America’s most famous law enforcement agency, was established more than ninety years ago. Since its inception in 1908, the FBI has been the subject of countless books, articles, essays, congressional investigations, television programs, and motion pictures, but it remains an enigma to most U.S. citizens, deliberately shrouded in mystery on the basis of privacy or national security concerns.

In Michael Newton’s book, The FBI Encyclopedia there are 3 editorial entries of Millie McGhee on pp. 217, 425, 436. The first entry on (p. 217) has an informative short biography of McGhee that while dismissing her larger claims that J. Edgar Hoover was Black, did leave the door cracked that perhaps she may be correct, but more definitive research is necessary. Newton writes on p. 217—

I have no evidence that Michael Newton read Philip Nelson’s book, Who Really Killed Martin Luther King Jr.? – The Case Against Lyndon B. Johnson and J. Edgar Hoover (2018) since Newton’s work was published in 2020 while was published two years before in 2018. However if Newton had read Phillip’s work he would have found a treasure trove of information confirming the scholarly and comprehensive genealogy of Millie McGhee’s scholarship as affirmed by writer, M. Wesley Swearingen whose 1995 classic work – FBI Secrets: An Agent’s Expose, cites in great detail to McGhee’s book in such a convincing fashion that I republished the 4 ½ pages from Phillip’s book below citing to Swearingen’s affirming the authenticity and believability of Millie McGhee’s genealogical scholarship—Highlight pen important passages below

My Charge to the Younger Generation of Historians and Scholars on the J. Edgar Hoover Race Question
Today I told my son (Stone Washington, a PhD student at George Washington University) to write a book review of Gage’s book and to include a section stating that ‘mainstream’ scholars must cite to your EXCELLENT book on Hoover’s Black identity to be considered complete and definitive BIOGRAPHY. While Beverly Gage’s book, G-MAN—J. Edgar Hoover and the Making of the American Century (2022, 2023) has all of the perfunctory accolades by the “publishing institutions” and by the “publishing industry”. Institutions and Industries are merely a collection of man-made associations designed not to find the undiluted TRUTH (like the Bible), but to insert mind control into the collective hearts and minds of the general public about what books to read and what books not to read. 
To get the idea on how the publishing industry gushes over books by “accepted scholars” literally without reading the book or seeing if ideas by later scholars (even controversial ones like Millie McGhee’s claims about the racial identity of J. Edgar Hoover could be true). No. No. No. We just regurgitate the same Big Lies that all of the other so-called books on J. Remember in my opening section, I reprinted a meme of J. Edgar Hoover answering a question by a journalist about his opinion of the single great threat to the United States of America and Hoover quickly responded without hesitation, “Negro unity”. Why would he say that if he wasn’t telling the truth? Was he being polemical? I believe that the “press conference” or whatever the event was clearly staged. I believe Hoover handpicked the “journalists” to ask him pre-selected and approved questions to make him look good and to give off an air of competence and invincibility.
Hoover was a psychopath and very paranoid. He knew everybody’s secrets. . . At least everyone’s secrets who mattered, nevertheless the corollary to this paradox was that someone out there in America knew his deepest darkest secrets. And, from what we’ve seen come out after he died in 1972 with being a closeted homosexual with his second in command and long time lover, Clyde Tolson, was J. Edgar Hoover’s deputy chief and top aide, serving as the Associate Director of the FBI from 1930 to 1972. As Hoover’s closest confidant, associate, and constant companion for over 40 years, Tolson managed FBI operations and was considered the only person fully privy to Hoover’s activities. Tolson is buried a few yards from Hoover’s grave in Hoover’s family plot. . . A burial plot that Millie McGhee’s family should have been buried in if America could handle the TRUTH!
Obama vs. Hoover: A Comparative Analysis on their Machiavellian Effect on American Culture and Society
In my opinion FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover and President Barack Hussein Obama were two sides of the same Machiavellian coin. Both men were severely narcissistic with traits of neurosis and personality disorder, and carried psychopathic (or at least sociopathic) tendencies due I believe to the severe secrecy they were brought up under.
