Black America, when will you tell yourselves, tell your children, tell your community, tell the Black Caucasian Caucus and tell the white slavemasters of the Democratic Party that I didn’t need your welfare slavery in the 1960s and I don’t want your Obamacare slavery today. I don’t want government dentalcare, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, food stamps, green energy scams and government cheese? I’ll buy my own cheese.

Nearly 150 years ago, the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass was asked: What will happen to slaves if they are given freedom? After all, many of them were illiterate, robbed of their savings and dependent on their masters. Douglass’ response in an 1862 speech was authoritative: “Free the slaves, and then leave them alone. He said that if we can’t stand on our own feet, then let us fall. Freedom was more important to Douglass and his generation than pragmatism or efficiency.
