“The most trusted man in America,” Walter Cronkite Warns America of the Coming Ice Age (CBS Broadcast: 9/11/72)

Their leader, Pat Robertson, has written that we should have a world government but only when the messiah arrives. Any attempt to achieve world order before that time must be the work of the Devil! Well join me… I’m glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan.

Biography of Walter Cronkite

Walter Leland Cronkite, Jr. (November 4, 1916 – July 17, 2009) was an American news broadcaster, celebrated known as the long-serving anchorman for the CBS Evening News for (1962–81). During their glory days in the 1960s and 1970s CBS News, Cronkite, who had a grandfatherly or uncle demeanor, was frequently called “the most trusted man in America.” Cronkite reported on every historical events from 1937 to 1981, including the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis; World War II; the Nuremberg Trials (1945-49); the Vietnam War; Watergate; the Iran Hostage Crisis; and the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., and Beatles icon John Lennon. As the only non-NASA recipient of the Moon-rock award, Cronkite was a fanatic of the space program and was idolized for his far-reaching reporting of the U.S. space program, from Project Mercury to the Moon landings to the Space Shuttle. Cronkite is celebrated for his sign off phrase “And that’s the way it is,” followed by the date on which the appearance aired. Nevertheless, behind Cronkite’s grandfatherly façade was a hateful, anti-Christian, anti-Republican reactionary.

Was Cronkite a tool of the Democrat Socialist Party?

Last week while listening to radio icon Dr. Michael Savage he played a clip of Cronkite’s broadcast of Sept. 11, 1972 warning America of a coming Ice Age. I was amazed and immediately went YouTube.com to listen to the entire broadcast. It is fascinating how the scientists back in Walter Cronkite’s day were forecasting an Ice Age which 40 years later we now know that those scientists were categorically wrong, therefore should we assume that the legions of government-paid scientists and Marxist academics today are wrong today for spewing Climate Change propaganda? Does mankind even have the power through pollution to change the climate of such a vast entity as planet earth? Are we destroying the planet or is Cronkite and the Communist Left using Global Warming as a Machiavellian pretext to take away more of your liberties in order to turn America from the U.S.A. into the U.S.S.A. (United Socialist States of America)?

Here is my original Facebook posting on Walter Cronkite inspired by Michael Savage’s radio show the week of May 25, 2015:

CBS News anchor, Walter Cronkite, the Communist-Progressive oracle of the Democrat Socialist Party for decades had the false reputation that his words was LAW. On his broadcast Sept. 11, 1972 ‘Commie’

Cronkite warned America of a coming Ice Age

      (didn’t he get the memo?)
You see America Cronkite and all of the other Leftist cue card readers we deify as “Network TV Anchors” aren’t that smart at all. They’re what the father of Soviet Communism, Vladimir Lenin called “Useful Idiots” who zealously and ignorantly promote the Communist-Progressive Revolution at the expense of destroying the Judeo-Christian traditions of their own country.
Now these fake government funded ‘scientists’ and Marxist academics are all crowing about anthropogenic (man-caused) Global Warming, and when the people starting digging themselves out of

record snow storms on the east coast last year

, now these academic frauds scream Climate Change! It’s all lies designed to enslave you and your future generations in the chains of Socialism slavery. Don’t believe in man-caused Global Warming. We don’t have that kind of power.

After about a week I saw that I had over 40 comments on my Cronkite post which for my Facebook page is off the chain. I then posted this comment a week later: “I am very pleased (and surprised) by the number of comments on this story. I may be compelled to do my next essay expanding upon this topic of America being abused by media propagandists like Walter ‘Commie’ Cronkite and his acolytes – Tom Brokaw, William Jennings, Dan Rather and that insipid Marxist cue card reader, Bob Schieffer, who just announced his retirement. By the way Schieffer now says on his way out the door that the media wasn’t curious enough about exposing Obama’s radical politics, but that it wasn’t the Left’s fault, but the fault of conservative writers and Fox News. Of course this Socialist propagandist and Christian hater Bob Schieffer is headed off to Harvard to teach journalism to pervert a new generation of what Lenin called “useful idiots” doubtlessly to continue the Progressive Revolution, the triumph of Global Socialism and the retrenchment of Global Christianity, liberty, truth and the rule of law.

Cronkite, the Clintons and One World Government

Throughout this essay I’ve used the terms Communist, Socialist, Liberal and Progressive interchangeably to denote that in 2015 these terms have essentially morphed into proponents of a One World Government absent a Judeo-Christian worldview. Cronkite, as a life-long Socialist and defender of woman’s rights, in 1998 of course supported President Bill Clinton during Clinton’s impeachment trial. He was also an advocate of a global Socialism based on the American federalist or European model and wrote fund-raising letters for the World Federalist Association (now Citizens for Global Solutions), a radical, anti-Christian Socialist organization promoting international rule. In receiving the 1999 Norman Cousins Global Governance Award at the ceremony at the United Nations, Cronkite said:

It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace. To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new order. But the American colonies did it once and brought forth one of the most nearly perfect unions the world has ever seen.

Cronkite compared his backing for Socialist globalist government with the resistance to it by politically active Christian fundamentalists in the United States like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson:

Even as with the American rejection of the League of Nations, our failure to live up to our obligations to the United Nations is led by a handful of willful senators who choose to pursue their narrow, selfish political objectives at the cost of our nation’s conscience. They pander to and are supported by the Christian Coalition and the rest of the religious right wing. Their leader, [Christian Broadcast Network CEO] Pat Robertson, has written that we should have a world government but only when the messiah arrives. Any attempt to achieve world order before that time must be the work of the Devil! Well join me… I’m glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan.

In 2003, Cronkite, who owned property on Martha’s Vineyard, became involved in a long-running debate over his opposition to the construction of a wind farm in that area. In 2006-07, Senator Edward Kennedy similarly had the same hypocritical stance pushing wind power legislation in Congress (which provides little energy and kills a lot of eagles and other wildlife that the Left supposedly care about), but not in my backyard. In his column, Cronkite often criticized President George W. Bush and the Iraq War of 2003. Show his true Socialist colors while expressing

a venal, irrational hatred of conservatives, Christians and Republicans, Cronkite in a 2004 appearance in Robert Greenwald movie Outfoxed, ranted and raved about the so-called ‘unethical’ and ‘overtly political practices’ at the Fox News Network. Cronkite commented that when Fox News was created by Rupert Murdoch, “it was intended to be a conservative organization – beyond that; a far-right-wing organization.”

Cronkite was fanatical in his hatred of President George W. Bush and the Iraq War and made it his cause célèbre. For instance, during a press appearance to publicize a PBS documentary about his career as a Socialist propagandist in January 2006, Cronkite stated that he felt the same way about America’s presence in Iraq as he had about their presence in Vietnam in 1968 and that he felt America should recall its troops. So powerful was Cronkite as a public figure that after one of his broadcasts critical of the Vietnam War LBJ lamented, “If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost Middle America.” Note in Cronkite’s venal criticism of the Iraq War, he did not offer any predictions about the catastrophic historical or geopolitical fallout in that region if American troops were not there as a stabilizing force. I wonder what Cronkite would say about the Middle East literally aflame under the feckless seven year administration of President Barack Obama who followed Cronkite’s appeasement geopolitics?

Cronkite constantly criticized the War on Drugs War on Drugs in favor of the Drug Policy Alliance (DPA), a radical Leftist, anti-Christian organization pushing Congress to decriminalize all drugs, writing a fundraising letter and appearing in advertisements on behalf of the DPA. In the letter, Cronkite wrote: “Today, our nation is fighting two wars: one abroad and one at home. While the war in Iraq is in the headlines, the other war is still being fought on our own streets. Its casualties are the wasted lives of our own citizens. I am speaking of the war on drugs. And I cannot help but wonder how many more lives, and how much more money, will be wasted before another Robert McNamara admits what is plain for all to see: the war on drugs is a failure.”

Epilogue from a Socialist Insane Asylum

On September 11, 1972, Cronkite cited scientists’ predictions that there was a “new Ice Age” coming. He called that prediction from British scientist Hubert Lamb “a bit of bad news.” “But then there is some good news,” Cronkite continued. “That while the weather may be just a little colder in the immediate years to come, the full extent of the new ice age won’t be reached for 10,000 years. And if you can stand any more good news, even then it won’t be as bad as the last ice age 60,000 years ago. Then New York, Cincinnati, St. Louis, were under 5,000 feet of ice. Presumably no traffic moved and school was let out for the day. And that’s the way it is, Monday, September 11, 1972.”

“Climate fear promoters switched effortlessly from global cooling fears in the 1970s to global warming fears in the 1980s. In the present day, the phrase ‘global warming’ has lost favor in favor of ‘climate change’ or ‘global climate disruption’ or even ‘global weirding,’ Marc Morano, publisher of Climate Depot, stated. “‘Settled science’ has never seemed so unsettled.” Morano is a former staff member of U.S. Senate Environment & Public Works Committee and producer of the upcoming global warming documentary Climate Hustle, set for release later in 2015.

Conservative media mogul, Glenn Beck has a simple but profound aphorism that can really help one understand the insane asylum of the Progressive Revolution has put the world in, particularly how the oracle Uncle Walter Cronkite bamboozled America for 50 years (from the presidencies of FDR to Bill Clinton) telling you the news every day, telling you what is news every day, telling you how to think, telling you what to think and most probably… telling you NOT to think. To counter this Socialist Groupthink worldview Glenn Beck had three simple rules: 1. Educate yourself; 2. Question everything; 3. Repeat step 1.
