“The core political values of our free society are so deeply embedded in our collective consciousness that only a few malcontents, lunatics [e.g., conservatives] generally, ever dare to threaten them.”

~ John McCain

“If it had not been for Senator John McCain and President Obama being for what we knew at the time included al-Qaeda anti-rebel forces [in Libya], then we would still have a U.S. ambassador and three others alive today, because Benghazi would not have happened.”

~ Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas

Most conservatives, including radio icon Mark Levin, have nothing but utter contempt toward Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. and his acolyte, Sen. Lindsay Graham, calling them “media whores” for constantly pushing amnesty for illegal aliens, their incessant strivings to always be in the media eye and especially for their frequent claims of being a “conservative” while at every opportunity slandering young Turk conservatives like Sens. Mike Lee, R-Utah, Rand Paul, R-Ky., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and my favorite, Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

Enter Sen. John McShame.

Cameron Joseph wrote in his op-ed that since the start of Syria’s civil war two years ago, Sen. McCain’s visit makes him the highest-ranking U.S. official to enter the country. McCain met with Gen. Salem Idris, the leader of the Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army and remains a leading opponent of the Obama administration’s Syrian policy, calling for the U.S. to provide heavier weaponry to support opposition forces seeking the ouster of al-Assad. The White House, though, has continued to focus on diplomatic solutions to gradually remove Assad from power.

Like a duplicitous Quisling, McCain is pictured all over the world grinning and shaking hands with the Syrian rebels even though they have committed a number of human rights violations and war crimes, including the following:
